When and where

Thursdays 6.30pm to 7.30pm
17 Tinakori Rd, Thorndon (Bridge Club premises) Please don't park on-site, there is plenty of parking on Thorndon Quay.

What happens

We run a short, optional, lesson at the start of the session.
Boards are set up for the kids to play short games against each other. At this stage it is fairly informal but we are looking to introduce ‘blitz’ tournaments later in 2024.
We welcome kids of all ages and skill levels.
Some of our older juniors come along (who are all good chess players) to run the lessons and to help kids where needed.

Cost

$20 per term, per kid

Payment for Term 1 of Junior Chess was due 22 February 2024.

We cannot take cash, only online bank transfers:
Make the payment to: 06 0582 0096726 00
Put the junior's name (not the parent's) under 'particulars', and "Junior" under 'reference'.

NB: Please don't park in the Bridge Club carpark (underneath or at the front of the building). We do not have any rights, and you could well be blocked in and stuck until 11pm. There is plenty of parking on Thorndon Quay.
